arrangements

In the morning,
We have so much time,
We dance down our trails,
Pick each other’s flowers,
And drink wine,
Living eternity.
In the night,
We find ourselves,
Next to candle campfires,
Nestled in warmth,
Listening to breath,
Creaks, and bangs.
In our sleep,
We always meet again,
Underwater in armor,
Retching for lust,
Storming the castles,
Crying havoc!
And in the morning,
We are alone,
With so little time,
Rushing around,
Making arrangements,
Waiting for our next [...]

silver screens

red, white and dead

A laugh in the face
The carriage stranded along
Broken roads and dying paper
Planes descending without a welcome
To greet the empty cockpit
Once filled with the gaggle
Blowing but mostly sedentary
Without action or vision
Leading to any refutable outcome
Lying on the once green ground
Red, white and dead.

machine lust

poem by robert

restless

the mind boils
hands fidget
feet scatter
awareness at hand

everything and nothing
false starts
green ears
red eyes at the trivial

sit down
stand up
lay down
get up

spirals and the circle
the endless
the boredom
the fear in your step

are you there

twitching fingers
fluttering eyes
spinning fan
gnawing mice

fallen hairs
tight blankets
quiet pillow
still air

fall
go
lay
lie

who am I in your dream

lie
lay
run
fall

rumble fridge
burning air
rushing blood
passing time

creaks
knocks
cars
wind

who are we when we sleep

moan
laugh
sigh
breathe

buzzing lights
left on
candles lit
never out

are you there

been invaded

.. .. ..
Been invaded
      Triumphant shards
   Tacky kisses
Cold stares
      Sold by poets
And bards.
.. .. ..
Lately
       You’re feeling flat
Hiding you’re eyes
   From the world’s
      Lovers.
.. .. ..
           Losing seems so right
           When you sound so wrong.
.. .. ..
Been invaded
      Dead and gone
